Privacy Notice
This privacy notice explains how SG Construction (Bath) Ltd handles information sent through this website.
Who is responsible for your information
SG Construction (Bath) Ltd (“SG Construction”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information shared through this website. You can contact us at sam@sgconstructionbath.co.uk or 07715 958029. Our registered office is 584 Wellsway, Bath, BA2 2UE.
What we collect
If you contact us, we may receive your name, telephone number, email address, preferred contact method, project address or postcode, property and project details, timing, drawings, photographs and anything else you choose to include.
The website enquiry form securely sends your details and any selected images to our web server, where an enquiry record is retained and the enquiry is delivered to us by email. Images are validated before they are attached to that email.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use enquiry information to understand and respond to your request, discuss availability, prepare or manage a quotation, and take steps you ask us to take before entering a contract. Where appropriate, we also rely on our legitimate interests in managing enquiries, customer communication and business records. If work is agreed, some information may also be processed to perform the contract and meet legal, tax, accounting or insurance obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is necessary with providers that support email, website hosting or business administration, professional advisers, project specialists you ask us to coordinate with, or public authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and project information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected, including following up the enquiry, managing any work, resolving questions and meeting applicable legal, accounting, insurance or warranty requirements. We then delete it or securely dispose of it when it is no longer required.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to how it is used. Email us to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that use of your personal information. We will consider the circumstances and stop unless there is a compelling lawful reason to continue.
Questions and complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy question or concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint for current guidance.
